intimate hotel offers you the opportunity to stay in a tranquil and stunning area.
Welcoming you to the Mariposa
are Mark and Sam, along with their two children, Tom and Cady.
Situated around a central courtyard, all the rooms
are en-suite and have central heating.
The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, restaurant terrace, swimming
pool, large pool terrace, gardens, small gym, secure storage, bike wash facilities, workshop/tools available, we offer mountain
bikes for hire, quad bike tours, 4x4 trips, live music most weekends and much much more!.
The courtyard is the
ideal place to enjoy that cool drink, or a delicious meal prepared by Sam in the fully equipped kitchens.
The
dining room is open for breakfast to residents, A fully stocked bar nestles in the corner of the dining room together with
comfortable sofas. Also here is satellite t.v so you can catch up on the news, free WiFi internet access, but really
this is an area you will want to be out and exploring.
The protected area of "Barranco de Gebas" is
to the rear of the hotel and can be viewed from the terrace (telescopes and binoculars are available for a closer look, and
is known locally as the "Badlands" due to its lunar moon type landscape, to the front of the hotel is the start
of the Sierra Espuna nature park with its maze of fantastic tracks and trails ready for the adventurous to explore by bike,
or foot.

the C3315, which is the Main Alhama de Murcia to Mula road.

self contained ground floor of country house on edge of a beautiful typically Spanish village ( EL BERRO) situated
on the Sierra Espuña nature reserve.
Ideal for mountain bikers in a great
relaxing area on the edge of a village situated on a
nature reserve.(Sierra Espuña) perfect starting place for the rides.
Very quiet position, set in a valley
among almond groves and pine trees, just a short walk from the Village, which is described as many as the gateway to the Sierra
Espuña nature reserve.
The village of El Berro has 2 bakers, a village shop, 4 bars, 3 restaurants and a
swimming pool that is open to the public.
Wonderful and good size front terrace with superb views of pine forests
and hillside, this terrace has a large stone dining table for al fresco eating and also has a beautiful stone built BBQ.
The apartment is good size and open plan, has a seperate galley style kitchen (with gas hob, fridge, washing machine, micro
wave with oven and grill), a bathroom with a shower big enough for the whole family at once!!.
A woodburner in the
lounge area for the very short winters (plus gas fire for back up), it has a double bed (or 2 singles), a double bed settee
and a single pull out bed if needed, this ground floor section will sleep 4, there is also the option of 2 extra bedrooms
with an extra bathroom for larger groups so max of 8 persons, all bed linen and towels are supplied.
The lounge area
has TV with British Sky Satalite and a seperate digibox for Spanish programs, a DVD player, a VCR, a music system (CD,
Radio, Cassette player)
Also included is full use of our hotel
facilities which is only a 5 minute drive away, I.E. swimming pool, restaurant / bar and all hotel activities I.E. kayaking,
quad biking etc.
